# Design tokens

> CSS variables and the Tailwind preset.

Shared CookieChimp design tokens for the app and consent UI. The groups are color, banner, typography, radius, spacing, shadow, and focus. `src/tokens.ts` is the single source of truth. The build generates the CSS and JSON representations from it.

* Import typed tokens from `@cookiechimp/tokens`.
* Import CSS custom properties from `@cookiechimp/tokens/css`.
* Use `@cookiechimp/tokens/tailwind` as a Tailwind preset.
* Import machine-readable values from `@cookiechimp/tokens/json`.

Consumers should load Inter themselves. If it is unavailable, the token's system sans-serif stack is used.
